Delegation
- Permissions for delegation need to be configured in Outlook by an account owner before delegated accounts can be viewed in Entourage, see the "set up delegate access in Outlook" Entourage help topic for more details
- Known issue: A delegate can't accept an invite sent from the principal.
- Known issue: If delegate accepts an invitation on behalf of principal the principal won't know this when viewing the invitation.
- Separating the delegator's data from yours: this is easy to do in the mail folder list, because they are listed in separate accounts. For Calendars and Events, the items show up in the same UI, and are distinguished by category. In contacts, you can sort on the Categories column, or do a quick search (under the toolbar on the right) for Category is delegator's data to see the delegator's data or Category is none for your data, or create an address book view that includes any particular set of contacts you want. In the Calendar, you can do the same quick search filtering, but a custom calendar view will not do you much good because the results are displayed as a list of events, not a calendar view.
Note: Delegation is only for Office 2004. There is no support for delegation in Office X.
