Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.0.1 - released March 11, 2008
This is the first update for Office 2008. Some users are reporting problems updating. See New installer for 12.0.1 for best results on installing.
February 29, 2008- Microsoft released an update to the Microsoft AutoUpdate (MAU) application.
The previous versions of MAU update used a VISE installer, however future updates to Office 2008 will use the Apple PackageMaker format for easier admin install. The MAU for Office 2008 is a separate Autoupdater than the MAU for previous versions of Office. If you use both Office 2008 and Office 2004, you will need both.
It is critical that you update. MAU will not tell you about any future updates unless you first install this update to MAU itself. To download, select "Check for Updates" under Help in the menu bar under any Office application.
It will not show under installed updaters because it's not considered an Office application.

Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.4.1 Update (13mb) released March 11, 2008
This is not a combo updater (13 MB). Before you install this update, make sure that the Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.4 Update is installed on your computer. Download updaters. It's mainly a security update.
11.3.5 combo updates CD version
11.3.6 requires 11.3.5 to be installed
11.3.7 requires 11.3.6 to be installed
11.3.8 requires 11.3.7 to be installed
11.3.9 requires 11.3.8 to be installed
11.4 requires 11.3.9 be installed
11.4.1 requires 11.4 be installed
Some users have reported they lost all or some Office applications during a failed update. Stuff your Office folder prior to updating for backup. This way you could revert to the previous build if there are problems.See more info here.
The true test of any update is the Microsoft Component Plugin. It is always updated. Microsoft does not update each application every time an update is released. See “Confused over Microsoft Update Version numbers?“
Find Office version you have installed.
This update does not include an uninstall feature. To restore your application to its original state, delete it from your hard disk, reinstall Office from your original installation disk, and then install ALL updates.

Microsoft Office v. X for Mac 10.1.9 Update Released: January 9, 2007 This update includes all of the improvements released in all previous Office v. X updates. Download. After the update your Office applications will show these versions:
- Entourage 10.1.6
- Excel 10.1.9
- PowerPoint 10.1.9
- Word 10.1.8
- Microsoft Component Plugin 10.1.9
Entourage X has reached the end of it's lifecycle. Support for Entourage X ended January 9, 2007.
Note: Hotmail accounts are inaccessible for Entourage X users after a recent server update on April 1, 2007. This also affects users on IE in Mac OS 9 and older versions of Outlook for PC users.
